This was one of the most difficult things I have done. How do you name a store? I once again headed to my favourite place, Pinterest (a huge Thank you to my cousin Lindsay who introduced me to Pinterest). I researched a ton of blogs and other websites on the topic of naming a business. There was a lot of advice on naming your business, one thing that I read many times was be proud of what you created, use your name. With that in the back of my mind I started brainstorming ideas, mixing my kids names, using versions of my own name. Once I came up with a few ideas, I started googling, I was able to cross some ideas off my list. Thank you urban dictionary, there are some urban meanings to my ideas with the kids names mixed that I would never have as my store name. I also googled possible ULR’s, to see what was available for web addresses. There was also a few discussions with my husband and kids, my husband also kept going back to version of my name. I finally decided, yes my name it would be, but in what combination? Many of you may not know my middle name. Jean, named after my mom’s Aunt, one of my favourite people in the entire world who we lost when I was just 16. A decision was partially made: NicoleJean, but I wanted more. I went back to Pinterest and back to the many different blogs. I read that I had to identify what my store was about, people should have an idea of what I sold from the name. I did not want to go with just Tees, or T-shirts, I did not want to be limited by my name. The brainstorming began again. Finally I found the right word: Wears. In my head it was perfect:
NicoleJean Wears, what do I wear; jeans and t-shirts.
